Husband Sells House Before Wife’s Pregnancy Delivery

Husband Sells House Before Wife’s Pregnancy Delivery

Kukatpally Incident, Husband Sells House: In a shocking incident from Kukatpally, Hyderabad, a woman named Nikita returned from her hometown after her pregnancy delivery only to discover that her husband had sold their home and vanished without leaving an address.

What Exactly Happened:

Nikita married Shravan four years ago in a love marriage. At the time of their wedding, her family gave a dowry of ₹48 lakh. Using this amount and a bank loan, they purchased an apartment in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. The couple lived there peacefully for several years.

However, their life took a drastic turn after Nikita became pregnant. She went to her parental home for her delivery, expecting to return to her usual life afterward. During this time, Shravan’s behavior changed. He reduced communication and completely stopped visiting their home. Though he claimed to be working in Chennai, his absence raised serious suspicions.

Eventually, when neighbors noticed Shravan’s prolonged absence, Nikita traveled back to Hyderabad with her relatives. To her utter shock, she found new occupants living in her home. When she questioned them, they informed her that they had legally purchased the house. Stunned and devastated, Nikita realized that her husband had sold the property without informing her.

In protest, Nikita staged a sit-in outside the house, demanding justice. She revealed that the bank loan for the flat was taken out in her name, and she had never signed any sale documents. She filed a formal complaint at the Kukatpally police station and urged authorities to investigate how the property was sold without her consent.

This incident has once again highlighted the ongoing issues surrounding women’s property rights in India. Despite strict laws, dowry exploitation and property fraud against women continue to occur. Nikita’s case underlines the urgent need for coordinated action between the police, revenue department, and registration authorities to investigate the illegal sale and hold the responsible parties accountable.

Her story should serve as a wake-up call, not just for her, but for countless women. Decisions made in the name of love and family must include legal safeguards, especially when it comes to property ownership. Social organizations and government authorities must step forward to ensure that such incidents are not repeated and that justice is served.
