Meru International School: Meru International School successfully inaugurated the Meru JMUN 2025 which is the key flagship Model United Nations (MUN) event for over 300 delegates from around the region. In this way, the school has continued vision of developing future leaders with an increased awareness of their global social responsibility.
The conference opened with an inspirational speech from the school Principal emphasizing on MUNs’ roles in ensuring critical thinking and leadership development. School Founder Ms. Meghana Gorukanti Jupally also inspired participants to challenge norms and celebrate diverse perspectives. The kind of leaders we are will be defined by our capacity to innovate in diplomacy,” she said.
The weight was added to the event as the Chief Guest, Mr. Nawab Syed Algazi, Consul General and Special Presidential Envoy to India and SAARC, imparted knowledge on global leadership. “True leadership starts with listening-to people, perspectives, and problems,” he noted.
Meru JMUN 2025 had nine thought-provoking committees, combining real global issues with creative debate. These included WHO, UNHRC, UNICEF, UNDP, UNSC, and India’s own Lok Sabha. Unique to this MUN were the creative councils such as the Ministry of Magic (MOM) and FC-Marvel. Which ran stimulation for innovative thinking in policy thinking.
Delegates debated issues on global health policies, freedom of expression, child rights in conflict zones. And futuristic challenges while enhancing their research, diplomacy, and communication skills.

Ensuring the smooth running of the event was possible from Secretariat to Executive Board, which were all student leaders. Delegates displayed professionalism at an extremely high degree, presenting sound arguments within negotiations and co-drafting strong resolutions together.
Meru JMUN 2025 held promise as much more than an academic experience-the convergence of empathy and intellect. Through engaging in dialogue and thinking strategically. Meru will help form a generation of change-makers ready to face the global challenges of tomorrow with both confidence and compassion.
