Public Holiday on July 22:
A public holiday will be observed across Kerala on Tuesday, July 22, to mourn the passing of former Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan. He died at the age of 101 on July 21 at a hospital in Thiruvananthapuram. In honor of his legacy, the Kerala government has declared a three-day mourning period. As a result, many institutions and services will remain closed, but some will continue their operations.
What Will Be Closed?
Government offices, PSUs, schools, colleges, universities, and banks: All government-related services will be shut down in observance of the mourning period.

Kerala Schools and Colleges
As part of the public holiday, all schools and colleges in Kerala will be closed. Students should check with their institutions regarding rescheduled exam dates.
