Credit Card Fund Transfers to T-Wallet:
To boost digital payments, the Telangana government launched a new feature enabling users to transfer funds from credit cards directly to their T-Wallet accounts. This move is part of the state’s plan to make digital transactions easier for the public.
According to the state’s IT and Industries Minister, Sridhar Babu, users can now deposit money into their T-Wallet accounts using their credit cards. The service will use the Immediate Payment Service (IMPS), which ensures instant money transfer.
This new feature will help reduce delays and make digital payments more convenient for residents. The government has ensured that the transaction fee will be capped at a maximum of 2%, so users won’t face heavy charges.
T-Wallet has already seen a rapid increase in usage across Telangana, with transactions exceeding ₹4,400 crore in the past year. The state’s digital ecosystem is growing at a fast pace, and this new initiative will likely encourage more people to adopt online payment methods.
By allowing credit card transactions, the Telangana government aims to provide more flexibility for people who regularly use credit cards. It will also encourage people to make use of digital wallets by contributing to the state’s growing digital infrastructure.
The government hopes that this will further boost the adoption of digital payment methods across the state. With this move, Telangana continues to lead in digital innovations and aims to make everyday transactions quicker, easier and more secure for its citizens.
