Kingdom Advance Bookings: Even before its theatrical release, Vijay Deverakonda’s eagerly awaited action movie Kingdom is doing well at the North American box office. With just five days until its premiere, the movie has already made over US$135,500 from 220 theaters and sold over 7000 tickets in the US alone. With more venues and concerts anticipated to open soon, the total premiere advance sales in North America presently stand at US$145,000 (Rs 1.25 crore).

Thanks to movies like the Baahubali series, Kalki 2898 AD, Pushpa franchise, RRR, and Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire, Telugu cinema has established itself as a major force in North America in recent years. The increasing number of Telugu speakers in the USA, Telugu is now the eleventh most spoken language in the nation, has made this possible.

This early momentum suggests that Kingdom is off to a good start, which might be important for Vijay Deverakonda’s career following a string of lackluster box office showings. His most recent films, such as the romantic drama Khushi, the pan-Indian adventure Liger, and The Family Star, did not resonate with either critics or viewers. For the actor, who formerly had enormous youth appeal after hits like Arjun Reddy and Geetha Govindam, Kingdom is consequently seen as a very crucial film.
