In India, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the bank holiday schedule for the week of August 3-10, 2025. These holidays include significant festivals and regular weekly offs. It is important for both individuals and businesses to be aware of these dates to plan accordingly.

Key Bank Holidays from August 3-10, 2025

1. August 3 (Sunday) – Banks across India will be closed for the Sunday weekend holiday.
2. August 8 (Friday) – Banks in Gangtok, Sikkim, will be closed for Tendong Lho Rum Faat.
3. August 9 (Saturday) – Banks in several cities including Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, and Jaipur will close for Raksha Bandhan and Jhulana Purnima. Additionally, all banks will be closed across India for the second Saturday holiday.
4. August 10 (Sunday) – Banks across India will be closed for the Sunday weekend holiday.

Throughout the month of August, there are a total of 15 listed holidays. These include national celebrations like Independence Day, Ganesh Chaturthi, and Janmashtami, along with various regional holidays specific to different states. The second and fourth Saturdays, along with Sundays, are consistently observed as weekly offs.
