How to Book Tatkal Tickets Quickly on IRCTC

How to Book Tatkal Tickets Quickly on IRCTC

How to Book Tatkal Tickets:

Tatkal tickets are essential for last-minute travel when urgent plans arise. However, due to high demand, booking these tickets online can be tricky. Here’s a simple guide on how to book Tatkal tickets effortlessly on the IRCTC website or app.

How to Book Tatkal Tickets:

1. Fast Internet Connection: A strong internet connection is crucial. Slow internet can delay your booking process. Tatkal booking opens at 10 AM IST for AC classes (2A, 3A, CC, EC) and at 11 AM IST for non-AC classes (SL, FC, 2S). Ensure you have a high-speed network to avoid any disruptions.

2. Plan Ahead: Before booking, log into your IRCTC account and prepare all the necessary details. You can save time by adding passenger details in the Master List section in advance. When you proceed with the Tatkal booking, select the passengers’ names from the saved list, making the process faster.

3. Quick Payment: Payment delays can ruin your chances of securing Tatkal tickets. To avoid this, use IRCTC’s e-wallet for one-click payments. Ensure that your wallet has enough balance beforehand to make payments quickly, especially since many users will be competing for the same tickets.

4. Open the App Early: Before the booking window opens, open the IRCTC app at least twice and search for your destination. This helps you avoid wasting time searching once the booking window opens. Once you’re ready, click on the Tatkal option, select your destination, and proceed with booking.

5. Login on Time: Log in to the IRCTC app or website well in advance, preferably a minute before 11 AM IST. Accounts automatically log out a minute before booking opens, so ensure you’re ready to log in quickly.

By following these steps, you can increase your chances of securing Tatkal tickets without any hassle.
