School Holidays Announced:
August has arrived, and with it comes the excitement of the Shravan month, bringing along a series of festivals. In line with this, the governments of the two Telugu states have given students some great news – three consecutive holidays!
This month, there are several major festivals such as Varalakshmi Vratam, Raksha Bandhan, Independence Day, Sri Krishna Janmashtami, and Ganesh Chaturthi. Because of these festivals, the government has declared important holidays for students.
Now, let’s talk about the big news: the governments of both Telugu states have announced three consecutive holidays for students. On August 8, there will be a holiday for Varalakshmi Vratam. The very next day, August 9, will be Rakhi Pournami, and the government has declared an optional holiday. Then, on August 10, Sunday, students will enjoy a three-day break, as Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are all holiday days.
This series of three consecutive holidays will be a delightful surprise for students. Not only will they get a much-needed break from school, but it will also give parents the chance to plan a vacation or take some time off.
Looking ahead, there are more holidays in August. On August 15, the country will celebrate Independence Day, and schools will be busy with rehearsals, sports competitions, and other activities from August 11 to 14. So, regular classes might not continue during this period.
Following that, on August 16, Sri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated, and both Telugu states have announced a holiday for the occasion. Since August 17 is Sunday, students will get another three-day break, from August 15 to 17.
Lastly, on August 27, Ganesh Chaturthi will be observed, and schools across the country will remain closed for the day.
It’s clear that August is packed with holidays, and students are in for a great time!
