Abeer Rizvi is a Pakistani social media influencer. She has publicly defended her husband, Salman Iftikhar. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison. The sentence was for threatening a flight attendant.Iftikhar is the founder of the staffing company Staffing Match. Authorities arrested him in March 2024. The arrest followed an incident during a flight from London to Lahore. The flight took place in February 2023.
According to reports, Iftikhar became intoxicated during the flight, and his behavior escalated when he became disruptive during the meal service. Allegedly, he made threatening and racist remarks to the flight attendants, including a disturbing threat to one of the attendants, Angie Walsh. Iftikhar’s outbursts led to further threats against Walsh, stating that she would be harmed. The incident traumatized Walsh, forcing her to take 14 months off work.
Iftikhar was allowed to exit the flight in Pakistan without police involvement but was later arrested in England. His company, *Staffing Match*, went bankrupt following the arrest, owing \$22.8 million. Despite admitting to making threats and engaging in racist harassment, Iftikhar denied charges relating to a physical altercation with another flight attendant.
Rizvi took to Instagram to share her perspective on the matter, suggesting that her husband’s actions were influenced by mental health struggles. She posted a message urging kindness and understanding, emphasizing that “behind every story, there’s pain you don’t see.”
