School Holidays Today:
Heavy rainfall has been predicted in Telangana, with the meteorological department issuing a warning of moderate to very heavy rains. As a precautionary measure, the state’s education department has announced school holidays for five districts. The affected districts are Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Mahabubabad, and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri. Schools in these areas will remain closed on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Greater Hyderabad region will have schools functioning with a single shift on Wednesday and Thursday, as per the new guidelines issued by the education department. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of students during the heavy rain.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has instructed ministers and officials to stay alert due to the ongoing rains. A video conference was conducted with district collectors to review the situation. In anticipation of potential floods, the CM ordered the cancellation of leave for all department employees for the next three days. He also advised officials to be ready with helicopters for airlifting in case of emergencies.
The chief minister also emphasized that the Hyderabad command center must remain vigilant regarding the flood situation. Additionally, IT employees have been instructed to work from home, considering the inclement weather.
Citizens have been advised to stay safe and avoid unnecessary travel. The authorities are monitoring the situation closely and taking all necessary measures to prevent any untoward incidents due to the heavy rains.
As the state prepares for more rain, people are encouraged to stay updated through local news channels and take precautions against flooding and other weather-related hazards.
