Fancy Vehicle Numbers in Telangana: Full Price and New Tax Details

Fancy Vehicle Numbers: For many Telangana vehicle owners, owning a car with a distinctive registration number has become a fashion statement. “Fancy” car numbers are frequently more expensive, whether for luck, prestige, or personal taste. The Telangana Transport Department has finally made the new price list public.

❂ Fancy Number Price List:
⦿ ₹1,50,000 – Number 9999

⦿ ₹1,00,000 – Numbers like 1, 9, and 6666

⦿ ₹50,000 – Numbers such as 99, 999, 3333, 4444, 5555, 7777

⦿ ₹40,000 to ₹20,000 – Other special numbers in lower demand

If a desired number does not fall under these premium categories, motorists can still reserve it by paying a reservation fee, ₹6,000 for four-wheelers and ₹3,000 for two-wheelers.

❂ Life Tax Hike on Vehicles:
Along with the fancy number fee structure, the Telangana government has also revised the life tax for transport and non-transport vehicles.

⦿ Non-transport passenger vehicles will now be taxed at 18% of the cost for the first ownership.

⦿ For second or additional personal vehicles, the tax rises to 20%.

⦿ Other vehicle categories will see an increase of up to 2%.

❂ What does This mean for Vehicle Owners?
In addition to raising the total cost of owning several cars in the state, these new taxes make premium numbers even more exclusive and expensive, too. If you are planning for a new car with an ideal number plate, then it is better to check these prices before planning for it. With these modifications, Telangana becomes one of the increasing number of states that are making premium car numbers into a status signal of luxury on the roadways.
