If you are going to be on a diet, then safety should come first before anything else. Don’t go on extreme calorie-depriving measures; these may cause your metabolism to slow down and can seriously endanger your overall health.

Instead of skipping whole groups of foods, rely on well-balanced meals that contain protein, fiber, good fats, and all other essential nutrients; decrease hydration intake as it is important but avoid crash detoxing diets, which often promise miraculous results.

Eat every few hours so that energy levels can be kept high, and so that you don’t binge at the end of the day. Rather than being starving, portion control is the thing to do.
