Aishwarya Rai’s Jodhaa Akhbar Outfit look featured at the Oscars Museum. The Academy honored Jodhaa Akbar’s famous crimson lehenga worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The Academy Museum is now home to the costume.
Indian films received the recognition they deserved when Aishwarya Rai, a global star, introduced them to foreign award shows. The actress’s portrayal as Jodhaa Bai in Jodhaa Akbar is one of her many memorable roles. With its scenery and costumes that took viewers back to the ancient period, Ashutosh Gowariker’s picture was as opulent as they could get. Rai’s crimson wedding gown from the movie was recently honored by the Academy when it arrived at the Academy Museum. It was dubbed “a feast for the eyes” by fans. Her bridal outfit carries the essence of rich Indian heritage. The jewelry and the red color lehenga’s royal look make her absolute queen.
Earlier, on December 24, the Academy honored Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai’s iconic costume from the movie Jodhaa Akbar on their official social media account. “A lehenga fit for a queen, designed for the silver screen,” they said. The Academy noted that Indian designer Neeta Lulla, who did more than just make a garment, was responsible for Aishwarya’s red wedding lehenga from the 2008 movie, calling it “a feast for the eyes.”
“Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s red wedding lehenga is a feast for the eyes: vibrant zardozi embroidery, centuries-old craftsmanship, and a hidden gem—quite literally. Look closely, and you’ll spot a peacock, India’s national bird, made entirely of jewels,” The Academy wrote in their caption.
As Emperor Akbar, Hrithik Roshan also starred in the film. Back then, A. R. Rahman’s songs and music for the movie were also very popular.
