4 Days Bank Holidays This Week: Check Dates Before You Visit

4 Days Bank Holidays This Week: Check Dates Before You Visit

Bank Holidays This Week:

Planning a trip to your bank next week? Be aware that many banks across India will be closed for four days between August 25 and August 28, 2025. This may affect your banking activities, so it’s important to check the holiday schedule before heading to the branch.

Bank Holidays This Week:

August 25 (Monday): Banks will be closed in

Guwahati for Srimanta Sankardev Tirobhav.

August 27 (Wednesday): Several cities including Mumbai, Belapur, Nagpur, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Panaji will observe a holiday for Ganesh Chaturthi/Samvatsari.

August 28 (Thursday): In Bhubaneswar and Panaji, banks will remain closed for Ganesh Chaturthi (second day)/Nuakhai.

These holidays are mostly regional, related to local festivals, so the closures may vary depending on your location.

Weekend and Weekly Holidays:

Banks in India are closed every Sunday and on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The following dates will also be non-working days:

August 29 (Saturday): Fourth Saturday

August 30 (Sunday): Sunday closure

Banks are open on the first, third, and fifth Saturdays, so if you need banking services on a Saturday, plan accordingly.

Digital Banking Services Will Continue:

While branches will be closed, digital banking services such as internet banking, mobile apps, UPI transactions, and ATM withdrawals will remain operational. This means you can continue transferring money, checking balances, and making payments without any interruption.

Plan Your Bank Visit in Advance:

If you need to complete tasks like withdrawing large sums of money, updating KYC details, or submitting important documents, make sure to visit the bank before or after the holidays. Keep in mind that due to back-to-back holidays, bank services may be slower during working days.
