Delhi Metro Fares Hiked After 8 Years: Check New Rates

Delhi Metro Fares Hike: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced a modification in ticket pricing for all lines on August 25, which means commuters in the nation’s capital will have to pay more for metro travel. Fares have increased for the first time since 2017. The DMRC stated in an August 24 post on X (previously Twitter) that “This is to confirm that Delhi Metro fares will be revised with effect from tomorrow, i.e., 25th August 2025.”

“The revision will be nominal, with fares increasing by Rs 1 to Rs 4,” the operator continued, adding that the change would be modest. The Airport Line would see a ticket hike of up to Rs 5.

Delhi Metro New Fares:
The fare chart was also posted by the DMRC in another post on X. Additionally, it said that the increase was negligible and varied from Rs 1 to Rs 4 based on the distance traveled. Regular weekday travel now costs more according to the revised fare table.
