Heavy Rains Impact Telangana Railways: Here is how passengers can stay updated

Heavy Rains Impact Telangana Railways:

Telangana is witnessing continuous heavy rains which have caused major problems for railway transportation. Due to floods and waterlogging, many train tracks have been submerged, forcing the South Central Railway (SCR) to cancel and divert several services. This situation has created serious inconvenience for passengers across the state.

Heavy Rains Impact Telangana Railways:

According to officials, multiple trains were cancelled on Wednesday. These include Karimnagar–Kacheguda, Kacheguda–Nizamabad, Kacheguda–Medak, Medak–Kacheguda, Bodhan–Kacheguda, and Adilabad–Tirupati trains. Authorities also confirmed that on Thursday, the Nizamabad–Kacheguda train will remain cancelled. In addition, some services such as Mahbubnagar–Kacheguda and Shadnagar–Kacheguda were only partially operated and then stopped midway due to unsafe conditions.

Floodwater flowing over tracks at Kamareddy–Bikanur–Thalamadla and Akanapet–Medak routes has led to major disruptions. Officials warned that if the rainfall continues, more trains may face cancellations or diversions in the coming days.

To help passengers during this emergency, South Central Railway has announced helpline numbers at different stations. Passengers can call these numbers for updates:

Kacheguda: 9063318082

Nizamabad: 970329671

Kamareddy: 9281035664

Secunderabad: 040–27786170

These helplines will provide details about cancelled and diverted trains, helping travelers plan their journeys accordingly.

Railway officials have requested passengers to stay updated through official announcements before starting their travel. They also advised people to avoid unnecessary travel until conditions improve, as water levels on several tracks are still rising.

Heavy rains in Telangana have not only affected train services but also disrupted daily life in many districts. Roads are waterlogged, and normal activities have slowed down. The government and railway department are monitoring the situation closely to restore services as soon as the weather conditions become safe.

For now, passengers are advised to check train schedules in advance and stay connected with the helpline services for the latest updates.
