Hyderabad Rains Cause Traffic Jams in Major Locations; Check Full List

Hyderabad Rains Cause Traffic Jams:

Hyderabad witnessed heavy rain on Friday evening, which caused major problems in many parts of the city. The downpour started suddenly and continued for almost an hour. Areas like Himayatnagar, Narayanguda, Musheerabad, RTC Crossroads, Tank Bund, Amberpet, Kachiguda, OU Campus, Vidyanagar, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Ameerpet, Panjagutta, and Khairatabad reported heavy rainfall.

Hyderabad Rains Cause Traffic Jams:

Due to continuous rain, low-lying areas were completely waterlogged. Roads turned into streams, making it difficult for people to travel. Major roads such as Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, Panjagutta, Ameerpet, Secretariat, Tank Bund, Telugu Talli Flyover, Imax road, and NTR Gardens witnessed severe traffic jams. Vehicles were stuck for hours, and even short distances took a very long time to cover. Commuters faced huge trouble as traffic moved slowly in many areas.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police advised people to avoid unnecessary travel. The weather department also issued an important warning for residents. It asked people to stay indoors unless there is an emergency. The heavy rain not only created traffic issues but also affected normal life in the city.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) announced that Telangana will continue to receive rain till September 2. Light to heavy rainfall is expected in several districts such as Adilabad, Khammam, Hanmakonda, Jagtial, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Karimnagar, Asifabad, Mahabubabad, Mancherial, Medak, Mulugu, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Peddapalli, Rajanna Sircilla, and Warangal. People in these districts are advised to be careful and follow weather updates.

Citizens are requested to plan their travel carefully and avoid flooded routes. Authorities are working to clear water from roads and manage traffic, but the heavy rain has made the situation difficult. Hyderabad residents hope for better weather in the coming days, but for now, everyone is advised to stay safe and alert.
