Hyderabad Traffic Police Issues Advisory for Ganesh Immersions

Traffic Diversions: Hyderabad Traffic Police announced traffic restrictions and diversions for Ganesh immersion processions from August 29 to September 5, 2025. They will enforce the diversions daily from 3 PM till late at night, depending on traffic congestion at NTR Marg and People’s Plaza (Necklace Road).


Key Diversions and Restrictions:
⦿ Sailing Club ‘T’ Junction: Heavy Traffic from Karbala Maidan towards Upper Tank Bund will be diverted via Kavadiguda crossroads. Vehicles heading to Liberty, Khairatabad, or Panjagutta will be rerouted through alternate roads.

⦿ At VV Statue: Public from Panjagutta and Raj Bhavan towards Necklace Road will not be allowed on Khairatabad Flyover. Vehicles will be diverted via Nirankari, Old PS Saifabad, and Iqbal Minar.


⦿ Telugutalli Junction: Vehicles from Ambedkar Statue will not be allowed towards NTR Marg and will move via Iqbal Minar.

⦿ Telugutalli Flyover: Traffic from Iqbal Minar towards Secunderabad will be diverted to Telugu Talli Flyover, Katta Maisamma Temple, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda X Road.

⦿ DBR Junction: Vehicles from Katta Maisamma Temple via Dhobi Ghat will not be allowed on the Upper Tank Bund and will be diverted to DBR Mills.

⦿ Kavadiguda X Road: Public from Musheerabad/Jabbar Complex will be diverted towards DBR Mills.

⦿ Nallagutta Bridge: Heavy Traffic from Minister Road will be diverted towards Karbala at Nallagutta Bridge.

⦿ Buddha Bhavan: Vehicles from Buddha Bhavan will not be allowed towards Necklace Road and will be diverted to Nallagutta X Roads.

Police urge commuters to plan and take alternate routes during the immersion days. They state that restrictions will depend on traffic conditions around Ganesh idol immersion spots at NTR Marg and People’s Plaza.
