Eid-e-Milad 2025: Today, September 5, 2025, many schools across India will remain closed to mark Eid-e-Milad, also known as Milad-un-Nabi. The festival is an important occasion for Muslims, as it celebrates the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad. Since it is observed as a gazetted holiday in several states, students are enjoying a long weekend.
Schools in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu have declared a holiday today for Eid-e-Milad. Apart from these, schools in Kerala also closed mainly because the Onam festival concluded. Government offices and banks in Kerala also shut today.

Significance of Eid-e-Milad
