Secunderabad Railway station:
The South Central Railway (SCR) has announced special arrangements at Secunderabad Railway Station for passengers during the upcoming Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath festivals. A huge number of people will travel during these festive days. Officials have planned several steps to manage the rush and provide better facilities.
To handle the heavy passenger load, SCR will run special trains connecting important destinations. In addition, some trains will be diverted through Sanathnagar, Ammuguda, Moula Ali, and Charlapalli routes to reduce congestion at Secunderabad station. This will help in smooth train operations and give relief to passengers.
Apart from train arrangements, infrastructure facilities at the station are also being upgraded. Railway authorities have announced that a new parking facility for 200 cars has been made available near Platform No. 10. This will reduce parking problems for passengers who come to the station by car.
For passenger convenience, additional help desks are being set up to provide information about trains, timings, and platforms. More ticket counters and Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) will also be operational to save time for travelers. These steps aim to ensure that ticket booking and inquiries happen faster without long queues.
Railway officials said these special arrangements are being made keeping in mind the festival season rush, which usually leads to overcrowding at stations. With better facilities, diversions, and extra services, the railway hopes to provide a smoother and safer travel experience.
Every year, lakhs of people travel to their hometowns during Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath. By planning in advance, the South Central Railway is trying to reduce inconvenience for passengers and make travel more comfortable.
These efforts show the commitment of Indian Railways to serve people during busy festive times and ensure that celebrations begin with a stress-free journey.
