The much-awaited Asia Cup 2025 begins on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Eight teams will take part in this tournament. They are playing in the T20 format as preparation for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in India.

Asia Cup 2025 Schedule:

Originally, India was supposed to host the event, but Pakistan refused to travel, so the organizers shifted the Asia Cup to the UAE. Team India, led by Suryakumar Yadav, will try to defend their title after winning the 2023 Asia Cup in the ODI format.


Arch-rivals Pakistan enter the competition with confidence after recently winning a tri-series against Afghanistan and UAE. India and Pakistan are in Group A with UAE and Oman. Their clash on September 14 in Dubai is one of the most anticipated matches of the year.

Teams and Squads

The tournament features eight teams: India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Hong Kong, Oman, and UAE.

India: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya,

Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma, Axar Patel,

Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh, Kuldeep Yadav, Sanju Samson, Harshit Rana, Rinku Singh.

Other squads include big names like Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan), Rashid Khan (Afghanistan), and Wanindu Hasaranga (Sri Lanka).

The matches will be played at two world-class stadiums:

Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

Sept 10: India vs UAE – Dubai (8 PM IST)

Sept 14: India vs Pakistan – Dubai (8 PM IST)

18 Sept: Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan – Dubai (8 PM IST)

The Super 4 stage begins on September 20, followed by the Final on September 28.
