EPFO Launches Passbook Lite: Key Features You Should Know

EPFO Passbook Lite: To make life easier for its members, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has implemented two significant reforms: online access to Annexure K, a vital transfer certificate for job changers, and “Passbook Lite,” which allows for speedier balance checks. All of these adjustments are intended to increase openness, lower complaints, and make it easier to access PF information.

What is Passbook Lite in EPFO?
Usually, employees log in to their personal passbook portal to see all their details of contributions and withdrawals. But now there is a passbook lite feature, which is going to make employees’ tasks even easier. Complete information is going to be directly available on the EPFO member portal with just one login.

What are the benefits of Passbook Lite?

Employers can now check any information with just a single login; there is no need to switch between multiple portals. This passbook lite is going to show your withdrawal details and also the contribution details in a simplified way. This is also going to reduce the load and give faster access.

PF Account Tranfers are now easier:
Employees use Form 13 to transfer their PF funds online when they change employers. Employees could only see the Transfer Certificate (Annexure K), which was created by the former PF office and shared with the new one, upon specific request. Annexure K can now be downloaded in PDF format straight from the Member Portal thanks to EPFO.
