Sivakarthikeyan and Sai Pallavi are is gearing up for release of his much anticipated Amaran. Here’s the exciting updates about the upcoming film.
Amaran is a biography of late Major Mukund Varadarajran , Indian Army officer and a recipient of the Ashoka Chakra who was martyred during action in the Qazipathri Operation of Shopian. The film is all set to hit the theaters worldwide on the festival of Diwali, October 31 in in five languages: Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu.
The film ensemble cast includes Sivakarthikeyan , Sai Pallavi in lead roles, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman and Gaurav Venkatesh in the supporting roles. The film is based on book series India’s Most Fearless: True Stories of Modern Millitary by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.
The biographical action war film is bankrolled by Kamal Haasan, R. Mahendran, Vivek Krishnani under the banners Raaj Kamal Films International, and Sony Pictures Films India with an estimated budget of Rs 75 crores. Film’s music and background score is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, in his first collaboration with actor and director. While cinematography, editing , visual effects are handled by CH Sai , R. Kalaivanan and Unifi Media.

Recently, the makers dropped the trailer of the movie which received mostly positive responses from the audiences, and both video songs, Hey Minnale, and Vennilavu Saaral became instant hits in both Telugu and Tamil.
Red Giant Movies brought Tamil Nadu’s distribution rights, and Sreshth Movies bought Andhra Pradesh and Telangana , Telugu states rights. While, Home Screen Entertainment acquired the overseas distribution rights and digital rights have reportedly been bagged by Netflix.
The film is all set to clash with Kavin’s Blood Beggar,Jayam Ravi’s Brother, and Lucky Baskhar in theaters on 31 October 2024, coinciding with Diwali.
