Thalapathy Vijay is said to have retired from films after his film Thalapathy 69 because of his political involvement. But now actor is confirmed to make a special cameo in Atlee Kumar’s Baby John.
Thalapathy Vijay launched the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party in February , 2024 and announced that Thalapathy 69 will be his last film. Thalapathy’s decision to retire from acting was met with surprise and some fans and cinema stars asked him to reconsider. Now, the actor is all set to make a special cameo in Atlee’s Baby John, which marks actor’s Bollywood debut. It is said that actor will reprise his role as DCP A. Vijay Kumar from Theri.
According to a source ,Vijay to make a special appearance in Atlee’s upcoming Bollywood film Baby John, the action thriller is official remake of Atlee’s blockbuster cop drama Theri. It is reported that Vijay has agreed to be part of the project after Atlee approached him.
Earlier , Thalapathy Vijay collaborated with Atlee Kumar for Theri , Mersal and Bigil, all these films huge blockbuster hits . So the new collaboration generated quite a buzz as actor is considering his retirement decision.

Baby Johnis directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, Murad Khetani and Jyoti Deshpande under Jio Studios, Cine1 Studios and A for Apple Productions banners. Tollywood music director Thaman S composed the soundtrack and background score, in his Bollywood debut film. . It is set for worldwide release on 25 December 2024.

It stars Varun Dhawan , Keerthy Suresh , Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, Sheeba Chaddha, Sanya Malhotra Salman Khan and Jackie Shroff. The film marks Keerthy Suresh’s much awaited Bollywood debut. Earlier it was rumored that Salman Khan is confirmed to play a special appearance in the movie.
While Vijay is busy is shooting for the political action thriller film , Thalapathy 69 directed by H. Vinoth and produced by KVN Productions, which is set for worldwide release in October 2025 in theatres.
