In a recent Kanguva promotional event Suriya Sivakumar revealed that he became an actor by accident to repay Rs 25, 000 loan taken by his mother.
Suriya Sivakumar has made a name for himself as a star of the Tamil film industry. He is known for his commercially viable roles in the interesting content-oriented films. He is one of the highest paid actors in Kollywood and has received numerous awards including two National Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five Tamil Nadu State Film Awards for his outstanding performance.
Suriya stated that his mother had borrowed money as a loan when their family was experiencing financial crisis, which led him to become an actor. Actor began his career in a garment factory, earning a bare minimum of Rs 750 per month.

Vikram actor further said that as a trainee, he earned just Rs 750 for the first 15 days . Over the course of nearly three years, his salary increased to Rs 8,000, but the financial strain on his family was evident. It’s really inspiring how his life eventually shaped up. The man, who started his career with just 750 rupees for 15 days, has reportedly charged Rs 30 crore for Kanguva, which is 400000 % higher than the salary he used to get.
Surya is gearing up for the release of fantasy action Kanguva written and directed by Siva and bankrolled by Studio Green and UV Creations with a staggering budget of Rs 350 crores. Film’s teaser, trailer and posters was released and received great response from the audience. The teaser and trailer received praise for the visuals ,aesthetics, VFX and setting.
Kanguva is scheduled to theatrically release on 14 November 2024 in standard and 3D formats in 10 languages, including dubbed versions in Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi, and other Indian languages. And internationally in English , French, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese and Russian.
