IRCTC Circular Journey Ticket
Indian Railways has introduced a special service called the Circular Journey Ticket, which allows passengers to travel across the country with just one ticket. This plan is very useful for those who travel often for work, business, or long tours. It saves both money and time compared to booking separate tickets for each trip.
The Circular Journey Ticket lets passengers start their journey from one station, travel through different destinations, and return to the starting point within 56 days. During the journey, travelers can take up to eight breaks at chosen stations. This means passengers can stop at a city, spend a few days exploring it, and then continue the journey.
IRCTC offers multiple route options under this scheme. For example, one route covers Hyderabad – Mantralayam Road – Tirupati – Bengaluru – Chennai – Bhadrachalam Road – Hyderabad. There are over 30 routes available in the South Central Zone alone, and many more in other zones. The complete list of routes can be checked on the IRCTC website.
This ticket is ideal for people who travel frequently for business, jobs, pilgrimages, or vacations. It is also suitable for families planning long tours covering several tourist spots. Compared to regular tickets, the Circular Journey Ticket costs less and gives passengers the flexibility to choose the class of travel that suits them.
To book this ticket, passengers need to approach the Divisional Railway Manager’s office. The ticket price depends on the journey plan and the number of breaks. The ticket must be purchased from the starting station. Senior citizens also get concessions on this service. Overall, the Circular Journey Ticket is cheaper than buying multiple separate tickets and avoids the hassle of repeated bookings.
The IRCTC Circular Journey Ticket is truly a smart option for travelers who want to explore India at a lower cost with greater convenience.
