OG Day 4 Box Office: OG, the Power Star Pawan Kalyan-starring movie, was one of the much-anticipated Telugu films for the year 2025. The high budget was expected to deliver tricks of spectacular action sequences with emotional drama type releases for all-in-one mass entertainment, while fans thronged theatres from Day 1, giving it one of the biggest openings in recent times. However, the opening weekend journey at the box office seems not to be equal to the hype.
The movie started promisingly with premiere numbers of 18 crores before the day as well. The opening day for OG was massive: ₹61 crores on its first day, really kicking off the blockbuster journey. But the days after were marked by a dip and a sharp one:
2nd Day: Rs 20 crores
3rd Day: Rs 19 crores
4th Day: Rs 18 crores
In four days, the Indian net total stands at Rs 136 crore. OG’s overseas net amounts to around Rs 23 crore, taking the worldwide net tally to Rs 159 crore. On the other hand, the overall worldwide gross is Rs 230 crore, which is far below trade expectations of a film of this scale.
Apart from Pawan Kalyan, the film also has strong backing with very popular faces from Tollywood that bring the story to life. Stylish action, grand visuals, and blazing background score are some of the major highlights which were at the top of the a-plus list by fans.

Though the movie had a thunderous start, the skyfall in its collections speaks against it. Word of mouth and mixed reviews seem to dampen the speed. For a film with such a pre-release humongous buzz, such collections indicate an absolute mismatch-hype versus returns.
Coming weekdays will be important. If the film can now stabilize and pick up during the next weekend, it may still end as a profit-making venture at the box office. However, for now, Pawan Kalyan will have to turn a record-breaking opening into long-term box office success.
