Kantara Chapter 1 Premiere Shows Cancelled: The long-awaited and hyped film Kantara Chapter 1 is all set to release, but in a sudden turn of events, the makers decided not to organize any special premiere shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Reports suggest that the production members have taken this decision in light of several operational and audience-related factors. Fans from both Telugu states will thus have to wait to see the movie on the big screen until the date of its official release.


The movie Kantara Chapter 1 is expected to have a simultaneous release all over India, enjoying a strong pan-Indian appeal. As per sources, however, the producers do not want to restrict the movie excitement only to limited premiere shows. Instead, they would like to build up the excitement simultaneously all over the country so that all the audiences view the film together on the day of release.

Cancellation Reasons

As per insider talks in the industry, the absence of the premiere shows is mainly owing to time crunches. High-level planning, and very stringent schedules of release. Owing to the huge expectations surrounding Kantara Chapter 1, the production team does not want to risk any unfavorable last-minute leaks or spoilers that may hamper the theatrical release of the movie. Meanwhile, the distributors are of the opinion that even not having the premiere shows will increase demand and publicity for first-day-first-show audiences.


The Show Will Go On

Nonetheless, even though no midnight or early morning premiere shows shall be conducted. Rides for the Kantara Chapter 1 premiere shall begin with early morning shows on October 2, at theaters across AP and Telangana. Fans can expect shows to kick off from as early as 10 in the morning, with several multiplexes already geared up for grand openings with full house bookings.

Expectations from the Blockbuster

As a prequel to the super-hit film Kantara, expectations are roaring high for this new chapter. With Director Rishab Shetty promising to take it on a wider canvas, a stronger storyline, and no matter how the story unfolds, audiences are curious about the saga. Some may feel let down with the absence of the special screening, But such news only serves to build excitement and suspense for the actual release.
