Kantara 2 Box Office Collections: Kantara: A Legend Chapter-1-a.k.a. Kantara 2-Rishab Shetty’s much-awaited sequel-came and burned across theatres. Released on October 1, the film raked in over ₹100 crore within merely two days post-release, marking a clear significance for films across India of huge expectation and fanfare.
On Day 1, Thursday, the film raked in a phenomenal net of ₹61.85 crore across all languages. The breakup indicates the mass appeal-Kannada ₹19.6 crore, Telugu ₹13 crore, Hindi ₹18.5 crore, Tamil ₹5.5 crore, and Malayalam ₹5.25 crore. Such glorious openings mark the film as being among the highest of Indian releases for 2025.
Day 2, Friday, was characterized by a dip in performance but another strong ₹46 crore net collection. This includes Kannada ₹13.5 crore, Telugu ₹12 crore, Hindi ₹12 crore, Tamil ₹4.5 crore, and Malayalam ₹4 crore. Thus, on the second day, collections cumulatively pushed the ₹107.85 crore mark, making the run over two days look excellent, given the 25% drop.
Collections landed on Saturday (Day 3) to ₹2.45 crores on the day itself, summing up the total collections to ₹110.3 crore in just three days. This evidently surprised trade analysts, but by then, the marvellous two-day performance had sealed the movie’s entry to the ₹100-crore-club.
Astonishingly, this phenomenal opening can be credited to Rishab Shetty for his gripping content, mythological depth to the story, and, of course, the immense popularity of the first Kantara. Moreover, with the film being widely released in different languages, it was able to attract audiences beyond Karnataka, making it a true pan-India hit.
