Women’s employability in India has witnessed several shifts in recent years. According to the report, 45.6% of women were considered employable in 2019. This figure increased to 47% in 2020 but fell slightly to 41.25% in 2021. In 2022, the number rose again to 53.28% and remained relatively stable at 52.8% in 2023. The percentage slightly dipped to 50.86% in 2024 and currently stands at 47.53% in 2025.
These changes reflect both progress and ongoing challenges in creating equal opportunities for women in the workplace.

The report highlights that women are increasingly choosing certain states based on safety, job availability, and growth opportunities. The top ten states women prefer for employment are:
