Suriya’s Karuppu: R.J. Balaji is directing a new film starring Suriya entitled Karuppu. The film is reportedly a mass commercial entertainer and has created a huge buzz among the fans. There were reports of a Diwali release, but R.J. Balaji has stated that the release of the movie was postponed on account of the delays in computer graphics and post-production works. He also said that the producers had been really impressed by the film, and the first song of Karuppu will release during the festival season.
The reunion of Suriya and Trisha Krishnan after more than two decades is one of the overnight sensations of Karuppu. The film is likely to showcase the duo in a new avatar unlike their earlier films together. The supporting cast is filled with exemplary acting talents such as Indrans, Nadhi, Swasik, Anagha May Ravi, Shivad, and Supreet Reddy.
The music for Karuppu is composed by the young and talented Sai Abhyanakar, who has had his success. The cinematography is handled by G.K. Vishnu, while editing is by Kalevanan. The film also features exhilarating action sequences choreographed by noted action co-ordinators Anbariv, and Vikram More for the shocking stunts. The film’s production designer Arun Venjaramoodu received awards for his elaborate and visually pleasing sets for the films.
Reckoning with the close proximity of a festive audience, the team is currently busy shooting their final schedule and some of the post-production. The Dream Warrior Pictures team has hinted that official release and other announcements will follow in a few days. Karuppu will be a festival for not only Suriya fans but for all masses with its star cast, technical standards, and festivities.
