Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the three minutes and twenty-six seconds long trailer pulsates with raw energy, emotion, and social symbolism. But amid all the chaos and intensity, a blazing question lingers: Where in the world is Anupama Parameswaran? The actress playing opposite Dhruv in the lead’s role puts in hardly a five-second show-up which raised fans’ eyebrows, and unhappy.
An intense, rustic role shows Dhruv Vikram grow in Bison. The trailer opens with gritty visuals of the world Dhruv inhabits in a struggle, defiance, and unspoken wrath. The storyline is set against a backdrop of his atmospheric passage from a weak child to a powerful rebel figure.
Directorial brilliance comes in by Mari Selvaraj, who has laced the visuals with perfection to deliver Tamil Nadu’s rural earthy tones, while the background matures the emotion for the trailer in a haunting rhythm that lingers well after the last frame.
Even though Dhruv’s presence stole the limelight in the trailer, Anupama seemed to walk almost unnoticed. The mere five seconds of her presence sparked to debate online. Is her role purposely concealed to avoid a key plot reveal? Or is Dhruv’s solitary journey the film’s prime focus?
