The awaited crime-thriller movie Pathiraathri directed by Ratheena has now successfully finished its censorship formalities and has been issued a U/A certificate. The movie stars Navya Nair opposite Soubin Shahir in the lead roles and is set for a global release on October 17, 2025.
Produced by Dr. K. V. Abdul Nasser along with Aashiya Nasser under Bency Productions, the film will be distributed all over Kerala by Dream Big Films.
The recent released trailer Pathiraathri has already created a huge buzz on social media for what promises to be a searing-hot investigative thriller, laced with emotional depth and suspense. The story supposedly takes place in one night, packed with unpredictable turns, against which people’s lives suddenly change.
Besides Navya Nair and Soubin Shahir, the film also features Sunny Wayne and Ann Augustine in key roles. The two are police officers- Jansi and Harish- whose intertwined lives and professional challenges are the emotional and thrilling core of the narrative.
The audio launch of the film was recently held, after which came the promo song “Nilagamana,” composed by Jakes Bejoy and rendered by Chinmayi Sripada. T-Series has been bought the music rights for a really big deal, conferring much strength to the musical-stature of the film.
This is Ratheena’s second directorial venture after the Mammootty starer Puzhu. The technical crew includes Shehnad Jalal (cinematography), Sreejith Sarang (editing), and Dileep Nath (art direction). The script is written by Shaji Marad, and Fars Films handles the overseas distribution.
Backed by a solid star cast, tight screenplay, and atmospheric visuals, Pathiraathri is expected to raise the thrill bar alongside emotions-the kind of cinematic experience fans are waiting for.
