AP School Holiday:
All schools in several areas of Andhra Pradesh will remain closed for two days, October 16 and 17, 2025, because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit. The state government has announced holidays for both government and private schools in Kurnool Rural, Kurnool Urban, Kallur, and Orvakal mandals.
According to local reports, the Prime Minister will address a public meeting at the Nannur toll plaza in Kurnool district. To ensure smooth arrangements and public safety, the authorities decided to declare holidays for educational institutions in these four mandals. Exams that were planned for these two days have also been postponed to October 21 and 22, 2025.
During his visit on October 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the famous Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Varla Devasthanam and Sree Shivaji Spoorthi Kendra in Srisailam. He will also inaugurate several national development projects worth ₹13,430 crore in Kurnool.
These projects focus on improving infrastructure, promoting industrial growth, and creating job opportunities in Andhra Pradesh. The central government aims to boost regional development and support the overall progress of the state through these new initiatives.
After the Prime Minister’s visit, students in Andhra Pradesh can look forward to the upcoming Diwali holidays. Schools and colleges across the state are expected to remain closed on October 20, 2025, for Diwali celebrations. Some institutions may also declare a holiday on October 18 for Dhana Trayodashi, followed by Sunday, October 19, making it a three-day festive break.
Later in the year, schools will also have Christmas holidays from December 23 to 27, 2025, and Sankranti holidays from January 10 to 18, 2026. The summer vacation is expected to start from April 24 and continue till June 11, 2026.
