Meanwhile, in Karnataka, schools have been closed from October 8 to October 18 due to the ongoing Socio-Educational Survey. Classes are expected to resume after the survey concludes.
In Tamil Nadu, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in 12 districts, including Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, and Tirunelveli. District Collectors are expected to announce school holidays in these regions to ensure safety.
