The much-awaited trailer of Vilayath Buddha featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran is out now. The trailer gives a clear indication that the movie is a mix of action, romance, and drama. It is a total entertainer by all means. The trailer also hints towards one of the most distinct and difficult performances for Prithviraj with his character Double Mohanan.

In a witty twist, the producers of the film made the exciting announcement that today at 6 PM, they would be releasing the very first song from the movie to the audiences which would obviously give additional insight into Vilayath Buddha.

From Paper to Screen

The film directed by Jayann Nambiar and produced by Sandip Senan under the Urvashi Theatres banner is based on the popular novel Vilayath Buddha written by G.R. Indugopan and Agilan has co-written along with Rajesh Pinnadan.

This film takes place around a symbolic sandalwood tree which kindles a battle between power figures, i.e. Bhaskaran Master and Double Mohanan-the student-at the misty hillocks of Marayoor. What seems to be a conflict of ideologies grows into a tale of grudges, legacy and unexpressed emotions.

Strong Technical Supporting Crew

Then there’s Vijay teaming up with Anu Mohan and the prominent Tamil actor T. J. Arunachalam as well as Rajashri Nair playing important roles beside Priyamvada Krishnan being the lead lady.

Music is composed by Jakes Bejoy, cinematography by Aravind Kashyap, editing by Sreejith Sreerang and Ranadeev, etc; art direction by Jithu Sebastian; makeup by Manu Mohan and costumes by Sujith Sudhakar.

After moving with several schedules of production spanning over 120 days, Vilayath Buddha is about to start post-production process. It would be released under the banner of the film company called Urvashee Pictures and would be carrying the publicity work devised by Vazhoor Jose photography by Cinet Xavier.
