Rajisha Vijayan Talks About the Shocking Accident That Happened on Bison Set

Bison, the next movie from Mari Selvaraj, which has Dhruv Vikram in the lead role, is going to be out in theaters on the 17th of October. Besides Dhruv, it also stars Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, and Lal among others. In one of the recent promotional events for the film, Rajisha shared about one of those tense moments during the shoot of a scene underwater.

The Dangerous Scene

Rajisha recalled that the scene involved a jump into a deep body of water, and, considering she had done some swimming for her role in Karnan, she felt confident. “After Karnan, I hadn’t swum properly for four years, and I was also eager to do the scene and told Mari sir that I’d jump”, she mentioned.

Then, once she was in the water, Rajisha started to strangle, though before that she bragged about her swimming skills. “I started going down. On one occasion, I was scared that this could be the end of my life. Fortunately, crew came to rescue asap”, she said.

Tribute to Mari Selvaraj

Rajisha also recounted how Mari Selvaraj always led from the front. “Anupama was the first one to jump, and then it was me. Mari sir was also in the water fully dressed, in shoes, and in glasses like any person with hope would be. He was also the first to jump in; we had five lifeguards present on set. Seeing him with all that commitment, as a director; I respected him as a person and director even more,” said Rajisha.

Supporting Cast and Genre of Film

The cast of Bison also includes supporting actors Pashupati, Aamir, Azham Perumal, Aruvi Madan, and Anurag Arora. Dhruv Vikram plays the character of a kabaddi player, but Mari Selvaraj clarified that the film is not about Manathi Ganeshan, rather a sports drama. On one hand, with Rajisha sharing her experience on set; it goes without mention that it evolves into much more than just application and risk in developing the films these kinds of narratives are.
