Esther Anil started off as a child artist in Malayalam films and is now one of the promising young faces in the industry. However, besides excelling in her art, Esther has also topped in her academics and currently is pursuing her Master’s degree in the esteemed London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).
Recently, during an honest conversation on the Pink Podcast, Esther brought to the forefront one of her not-so-pleasant experiences that she faced while in Delhi. This narration has fueled a lot of debate across the online platforms.
About her time in Delhi, Esther once mentioned that she enjoyed the place, but moments made her feel uneasy. “I’ve traveled everywhere in India but was always little tentatively about Delhi. I stayed there for a month or so, at a place called Okhla about,” recalling her journey with the city.
She pointed at incidents that disturbed her despite many being warm and welcoming. “Some people would not look at my face during conversations, but their gaze was on my chest. This made me uncomfortable initially, but I learned to cope and moved on.”
With Drishyam 3 coming out this week, Esther is once again in the limelight. This film is directed by Jeethu Joseph, who started the first entity of the franchise with Mohanlal as the protagonist. Well, the Drishyam franchise is one of the greatest success stories in malayalam cinema.
The film’s shooting is currently ongoing in Thodupuzha, and fans of the franchise are looking towards a very exciting follow-up.
