Gifted actor and filmmaker Basil Joseph, who has previously won audiences’ heart for his work, is producing the film Athiradi in Malayalam. The release of its title video had made people go crazy with excitement recently. Besides being a producer, Basil is also starring in this film as one of the lead characters, sharing the role with Tovino Thomas and Vineeth Sreenivasan. The film officially started shooting today.
Set in a colorful college environment, Athiradi sets up to be a mass entertainer, ripping off tales of action, comedy, and college pursuits. The teaser presented the viewer with an exhilarating ride of colorful characters and emotional highlights. The team had called for casting college students earlier, indicating the film’s exciting and youthful vibe.
The film is directed by Arun Anirudhan, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Paulson Skaria. Athiradi is produced in Basil Joseph Entertainment and Dr. Ananthu’s Entertainment banners – Dr. Ananthu is also a producer and the founder of XYLEM Learning. Note that Sameer Thahir, Tovino Thomas joined as co-producers to bring an additional arsenal of creativity.
