5 Malayalam Movies That Deserve a Theatrical Re-Release

Malayalam Re-Releases: Malayalam cinema has provided entertainment for audiences with innumerable films for eternity and those films were sweet nostalgia for people years, after the movie released. Among those numerous films, few movies, stand to have a cultural mark; iconic performances, pure entertainment value high, and they deserve to enter a front-row in theaters again. Re-releasing those classics would allow new generations to see the films exactly how they were meant to be seen on screen with the complete cinematic experience. Here is a list of five Malayalam re-releases to look forward to:


 

1. Rajamanikyam

Starring Mammootty is most probably going to be one of his most iconic characters, Rajamanikyam, is the story of Bellary Raja, a rugged but loveable gentleman with family issues in his life and fights for justice. The larger-than-life characters, the catchy dialogues, fun and thrill ride action, leave nothing else that needs to be a must-see film again even today. Getting a re-release in theatres would be a chance to evoke the feelings again of Mammootty’s unforgettable performance, in all its glory, on the big screen again.


 

2. CID Moosa

CID Moosa is one of the most beloved comedies in the Malayalam film industry, and Dileep’s humorous role made all the difference. Its combination of romance, action, and humor are classics of the genre, in particular, the comedic twists the film has while juggling all of that other creative intensity. Watching the film in a theater would actually enhance the laughter and excitement that was created because some of it could be lost in the transfer to home viewing.

 

3. Big B

Big B, directed by Amal Neerad, is, to many regard, a cult classic of Malayalam cinema. Runway is one of Dileep’s films that transcends its signature humor and that is a film about crime and revenge and love-mixed inception. The movie-controlled pacing, and Dileep completely modernizing what Indian male hero usually represents with many engaging performances. This film is a worthwhile theater experience to wrap up all that adrenaline and intensity associated with the original screening.

 

5. Kochi Rajavu

Kochi Rajavu stars Dileep in a combination of action, comedy, and romance for a complete entertainer. The film has some unforgettable characters in conjunction with a rich storyline all of which make this a likely candidate for re-release and give both old fans and new viewers the chance to see it back on the big screen.
