Raavanaprabhu Surpasses Manichitrathazhu in Re-Release Box Office Collections

Raavanaprabhu Surpasses Manichitrathazhu in Re-Release Box Office Collections

Raavanaprabhu: From classics like Sphadikam, Devadoothan, Manichitrathazhu, and Chotta Mumbai, and several others, many films have been released in theatres over the years, and now it is the re-releases that are becoming increasingly popular in Malayalam cinema, especially for a Mohanlal film. The euphoria for these re-release events has been overwhelming for the fans; it has transformed a regular film show into an Event. Maybe the re-release of Chotta Mumbai had the most colourful, crazy, fan celebrations.

Raavanaprabhu In Theatre

On 10th October, Raavanaprabhu was released back in theatres, with enhanced technical quality and added to the impressive list of films already. The fans of Mohanlal received the film well, especially the ones who did not have the chance to see the original theatrical exhibitions. The second part of the Devasuram story, Raavanaprabhu, begins where Devasuram left off, and the focus is mainly on the journey of Karthikeya, the son of Mangalassery Neelakandan.

Box office Competition

Commercially, the re-release of Raavanaprabhu has done quite well. The South Indian Box Office chats report earnings of ₹4.70 crore in total, with the re-release opening day making ₹67-70 lakh, which ranked it as the second highest-grossing re-release in Malayalam cinema, following only Mohanlal himself in Sphadikam. Globally, Raavanaprabhu has also surpassed the collection figure for Manichitrathazhu, which hoisted a collection of ₹4.6 crore from its re-release . In comparison of all collections the only two standing against Raavanprabhu is Sphadikam (₹4.95 crores) and Devadoothan (₹5.4 crores).

Legacy and fan following

Once again, Mohanlal’s films have shown that classic Malayalam films can have immense power to draw in audiences from several decades onward. Graphically fastened storytelling with emotionally knitted performances and also engaged technical components, these re-releases offer new chances of nostalgia and cinematic experiences into the re-watch. The success of Raavanaprabhu illustrates the eternal allure of Mohanlal and sustained want for good films in theaters in Kerala’s agreements of re-release.
