Mohanlal in Dies Irae: Social media is buzzing with anticipation as Malayalam superstar Mohanlal might make an unexpected appearance in his son Pranav Mohanlal’s next psychological horror movie, “Dies Irae.” After the trailer launch on Saturday, most of the people are expecting Mohanlal’s cameo in his son’s movie Dies Irae.

A stylized snapshot of Pranav and director Rahul Sadasivan with red lights on their faces was shared. The photo has a Dies Irae vibe. Soon after, Mohanlal replaced his Instagram display picture with a somber, dark, and similarly red image, which fueled speculation that he and his son might co-star in the film.


Directed by Rahul Sadasivan, who also directed the highly regarded Malayalam horror movie “Bramayugam,” “Dies Irae” is a well-known horror-thriller. Pranav Mohanlal plays the lead in the movie, which has already drawn interest due to its terrifying trailer and the rumors about Mohanlal’s potential cameo.

Dies Irae Shoot Schedule & Movie Updates:

In the final week of March this year the film production has began in Vadakara, Calicut. The surprising part is when the producers planned a 40 day shoot schedule but the production got completed by April.

Dies Irae production team has planned for talented and very creative team for this film. They have got some of the important technical crew who has worked for Bramayugam. People like, Jothish Shanka who is the art director, Shafique Mohammed Ali, who is also from Bramayugam, is the editor, and Shehnad Jalal, who is renowned for his cinematography in Bramayugam, operates the camera.

Mammootty, Sidharth Bharathan, Arjun Ashokan, and Amalda Liz starred in Rahul Sadasivan’s previous period-horror movie, Bramayugam, which was set in Kerala’s dark ages. Renowned Malayalam novelist TD Ramakrishnan, well known for Francis Itty Cora, wrote the dialogues for it.
