Bison Box office Collections: Dhruv Vikram’s most recent venture Bison, under the expert hands of Mare Selvaraj, is presently receiving rave reviews both from critics and audiences alike. The film has gained hugely on audience opinion for a riveting screenplay and a strong social message. As reported from SACNILC, Bison has achieved a phenomenal ₹32 crore net collection from India alone within a mere ten days of its releasee- a stupendous achievement for a socially conscious sports drama.
The themes of caste discrimination and social injustice are seen in the light of the traditional sport of kabaddi in Bison. It draws inspiration from real-life incidents that have pleaded for Tirunelveli’s rural background.
Manathi Ganeshan’s life of a national-level kabaddi player, Arjuna Award recipient, is also said to have inspired the film. By combining the sportsmanship with the conflict of social hierarchy, Bison stands as a punchy commentary on grit and equality.
Dhruv Vikram co-stars alongside Anupama Parameswaran in her Tamil film debut. Malayalam actress Rajisha Vijayan and actor Lal also play significant roles. Other significant names such as Pasupathi, Ameer, Azhagam Perumal, Aruvi Madan, and Anurag Arora contribute a great contribution to the film.
