Thamma 100 Crore Collections: Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Latest release Thamma came out in theatres during Diwali this year and has set fire to the box office. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the supernatural comedy film is produced by Maddock Films and adds one more entry to the horror-comedy universe. It earned more than ₹100 crore gross worldwide in just five days, making people speculate if it can collect its high production budget.

Thamma opened well with a strong ₹24 crore on Day 1, which set the stage for a power-packed festive run. With the positive feedback from audiences, it kept strong footfall during the weekend and it made around ₹78.6 crore net in India by Day 5. The film already entered the club of ₹100 crore in such a short time globally over the works of Bhediya (₹68.99 crore).
Though there has been a little drop on weekdays, the film’s engaging mix of humor, horror, and emotion made audiences return to theaters. The second weekend is expected by the trade pundits to be crucial for this one in having a long-lasting run.
Budget and Recovery Aspects

By reports, the total production cost and the entire budget spent on promoting Thamma amount to nearly Rs 150-160 crore. The makers almost already minted impressive deals for their OTT and satellite rights such that a major portion of the investment is already secured. The extent of profit margin, however, would be determined by the theatrical revenue. With no other major releases this week, The big movie is poised to cross the ₹175 crore mark very soon if things do go on this way.
