Malayalam cinema fans are completely thrilled, as the superstar Mammootty joins hands with the promising young producer Sherif Muhammed for a thrilling new film. Following the monumental success of Marko, this is earmarked to be Mammootty’s next big ticket. The initial reports suggest that the actor would be in a role unlike he has ever had, thus giving rise to a huge expectation in the minds of fans across Kerala.
This is their new project after the recently started Kattalan, featuring Anthony Varghese, from the Union territory of Cubes. Kattalan’s first-look poster has rendered the mood to spectators, declaring that this would be a grand-audiovisual film. Inaugurated in India by the newcomer Paul George, the movie promises a great technical finesse and a heavy budget to provide a movie spectacle that could set new benchmarks for Malayalam filmmaking.
Recently, shooting for Kattalan began in Thailand with some elaborate action sequences choreographed by the world’s most authoritative stunt coordinator, Kech Kembadike, who has worked for the famous global martial arts film Ong-Bak. The film features Pong the elephant, which has previously been seen in Ong-Bak.
Kattalan has a grand ensemble cast that features a combination of Malayalam actors and these pan-India talents. This is the fabulously scaled ensemble movie project. With Mammootty’s subsequent venture after this release just around the corner, fans anxiously await to catch the superstar in an even more striking and monumental role.
