Aadhaar Card New Rules: 3 Big Changes From November 1

Aadhaar Card New Rules: Aadhaar users are going to have big update from next month. It will only take a few clicks to update your Aadhaar starting on November 1, 2025. For updates, you won’t have to go to an enrollment center or wait in huge lines. Everything from now on can be changed online from the convenience of your home, including your name, address, date of birth, and mobile number.

These new regulations are intended to improve the speed, ease of use, security, and use of Aadhaar services.

Major Changes in Aadhaar Card Rules:

1. Information Update:

In the past, you needed to visit an Aadhaar Seva Kendra or Meeseva to get any updates or corrections. But now this process is cut short with a complete online process.

To make sure it is a quicker and more secure update process, your submitted information, such as your name or address, will be automatically validated with official government papers like your PAN card, passport, driver’s license, or ration card.

Aadhaar Update Fees:
– To update your name, address, or mobile number, pay Rs 75.
– Rs 125 to update a photo, iris scan, or fingerprints
– Free biometric updates for kids between the ages of five and seven and fifteen and seventeen
– Up to June 14, 2026, online document updates are free; after that, they will cost Rs 75 at an enrollment center.
– Requests for Aadhaar reprints cost Rs 40.
– Rs 700 for the first person and Rs 350 for each subsequent person at the same residence is the cost of the home enrollment service.

2. Aadhaar Card – Pan Card Linking:
By December 31, 2025, all PAN holders must connect their PAN card to Aadhaar. If this is not done, PAN will become inactive on January 1, 2026, rendering it useless for tax or financial purposes.

Aadhaar verification will also be necessary for new PAN card applicants.

3. Easy KYC Process:
Banks and other financial institutions now have an easier Know Your Customer (KYC) process. KYC can now be finished using:

– OTP verification for Aadhaar
– Video KYC in-person confirmation

This saves time and eliminates all paper in the process.
