Hyderabad is getting swept away by rains

Telangana Rains: Rains in Hyderabad started to pour down this morning and on Tuesday night the city saw moderate showers. This sudden cause of rainfall is because of “Cyclone Montha”. IMD(Indian Meteorological Department) issued an Orange alert for several Telangana districts, stating that the heavy rainfall and gutsy winds will be coming across several regions in Telangana.

Under the impact of this cyclone, several areas in Hyderabad saw rainfall, and the city outskirts are also experiencing rainfall. Some parts of the city experienced heavy rainfall whereas other parts saw a little less rainfall. 

Areas affected

Moderate to heavy rainfall was in store for Gachibowli, Lingampalli, Chintal, Budvel and Attapur among other places. Meanwhile, IMD issued an Orange alert for several parts of Telangana, the areas include Kothagudem, Hanamkonda, Khammam, Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Vikarabad and Suryapet. 

Andhra Pradesh is also drowning 

Several parts of Andhra Pradesh are also drowning in these rains, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam areas are severely affected by this cyclone Montha. Several farms and rivers are being overflowed and it is causing heavy losses to the entire industry.
