The Central Government has announced two main public holidays for November 2025. These are known as Gazetted Holidays, and they remain almost the same every year.

5 November 2025 (Wednesday): Guru Nanak Jayanti

24 November 2025 (Monday): Guru Teg Bahadur’s Martyrdom Day

These two days will be official holidays for all Central Government offices across the country.

Bank Holidays in November 2025

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), public sector banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, along with Sundays and other regional holidays. In November 2025, the second Saturday falls on 8 November, and the fourth Saturday falls on 22 November. Banks will also remain closed on national holidays such as Guru Nanak Jayanti.

State Government Holidays in November 2025

Apart from the central holidays, several states have their own regional festivals and events in November. The list includes:

1 November (Saturday): Haryana Day – Haryana

1 November (Saturday): Puducherry Liberation Day – Puducherry

8 November (Saturday): Kanakadasa Jayanti – Karnataka

11 November (Tuesday): Lhabab Duchen – Sikkim

23 November (Sunday): Seng Kut Snem – Meghalaya
