The Redmi Turbo 5 is generating quite a bit of excitement. Recent leaks reveal that perhaps its most remarkable feature is that it could have a truly massive 9,000mAh battery. If this does hold true, it could make it the leader of the segment.
Earlier reports had said the Turbo 5 would debut with a 7,500mAh battery, but a noted tipster claims that it will in fact come equipped with an even larger battery. According to their claim, the phone will feature a 9,000mAh battery size in its high end variant when alone. This completely blows the current record in which mainstream phones can last on a single charge.
Most flagship devices tend to use a smaller capacity capacity battery. They typically vary from 5,000mAh to 7,500mAh costs. The Turbo 5 could create a shift in expectations. Affordable high-end phones have been pushing boundaries as well. Xiaomi has also tested a possible 10,000mAh phone.
The Turbo 5 would also need specs to match the immense power of the battery. It may come equipped with a Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor. If so, this chip will be able to handle whatever task is thrown at it. It is also expected to carry 100W fast charging speeds. This combo means that customers can charge it quickly even with a large battery.
The Turbo 5 is also expected to come with other premium features. Expect similar features available to all of the flagship devices, especially a in-display fingerprint sensor. A metallic mid-frame could accompany durability standards. It should also have an IP67 rating that protects from dust and the possibility damage that come with liquid.
For its standard model, the phone may launch sometime this month. Expected to launch earliest in china. The more powerful Pro variant will come later. Its release is expected in early 2026. The company has not confirmed official dates.
