Dies Irae Box Office Collection: Starring Pranav Mohanlal and helmed by Rahul Sadasivan, the greatly awaited horror thriller Dies Irae has made a stunning impact at the worldwide box office. Published worldwide on October 31 following a paid premiere on October 30, the movie was made by Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth under the banners of Night Shift Studios and Y Not Studios.
Dies Irae is Rahul Sadasivan’s project after Bramayugam success. As mentioned in its tagline, The Day of Wrath, the Latin title of the movie translates as “Day of Wrath”. The movie is a great combination of horror, mystery, and suspense.
Report says that Dies Irae has brought about roughly ₹56 crore worldwide in the course of its first seven days of release. Common audience and the critics have praised the movie’s eerie plot, mind-blowing acting, and commendable technical brilliance. This year it is notable among the horror genre because of its eerie visuals, heavy sound design, and emotional depth.
The visual brilliance of Shehnad Jalal ISC’s cinematography and Jyotish Shankar’s art direction in the movie has been much appreciated. Viewers have also found music by Christo Xavier, especially “The Day of Wrath,” resonates with them. Emphasizing its mature and powerful topics, the movie has an A certificate.
While E4 Experiments dispersed Dies Irae in Kerala, Think Studios managed the rest of India excluding Karnataka, and VK Films oversaw the Karnataka premiere. Home Screen Entertainment distributed it internationally; Prime Media USA was in charge of the U.S. premiere; Berkshare Dream House and Isanagi Films covered non-GCC nations.
